St. Mark NJHS students participate in CCC's annual Hunger Walk
On Saturday, March 2, 18 of our NJHS students, along with classmates, family members, friends, and teachers took part in the annual Hunger
Walk to benefit the Community Caring Center, a local charity with which St. Mark has a long and proud history of
supporting. The walk began outside the Schoolhouse Museum
on Ocean Avenue and proceeded across Federal Highway to the Oceanfront Beach Park on A1A and back, a total of
two miles. Our students raised several hundred dollars in donations, and won Top Team and Top Youth Team for their fundraising efforts. A special thank you to all members of the St. Mark community who attended and took part. Check the St. Mark Facebook page for photos.
My auction items? Soccer, what else?
Each teacher here at St. Mark has been asked to provide both an individual auction item and an outside donation. I've turned to my friends at AC Delray to assist in this regard. They have provided a one-season registration for the club's recreational soccer program, valued at $150. I will be providing my services to a lucky participant (age 10 and under, preferably) with a one-hour skills training session at the beautiful Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach. The participant in this one-on-one session will also receive an official AC Delray soccer ball and t-shirt or game jersey. Total value for the training package: $90.
